For its 15th edition, Masters of Waste hosted waste and recycling professionals from across the industry who took part in the tournament. The event raises money for Child Bereavement UK, and letsrecycle.com has raised £23,000 to date.
UKCM’s winning team consisted of Mark Roberts, Andrew Malone, Ben Roberts and Neil Hylands.
Chris Porter, Richard Ellison, Scott Logan and Graham Boswell from Fairport Containers finished as close runners up with a score of 101 points. Bradley Smith, Clayton Sullivan-Webb, Danny Coulston and Steve Grieg from Grundon, rounded off the top three with 98.
In the individual men category, Mark Roberts from UKCM 2 came first with 41 points. Graham Boswell from Fairport came second, and Simon Shields from Shur-Co placed third.
For the women’s individual category, Lille Reid-Hunt from Sharpsmart took the win, with
Emma Shapland from Fleetclear coming in second place.
Competitions
The day also plays host to a series of other challenges.
Nearest the Pin (8th hole) was won by Peter Cranner – Shur-Co, with Nearest the Pin 3 (13th hole) being won by Ben Simpson from Bartec. Nearest the Pin 2 (15th hole) was won by Terry Hughes – Blue Machinery.
Straightest Drive (9th hole) was won by Marcus Cahill from Reconomy, while Longest Drive (18th hole) was won by Allen Owen at Sharpsmart.
