The new company has also announced its ‘strategic alliance’ with Eunomia. Rooted said it hopes the alliance will help to provide clients with services across the entire waste hierarchy.
As part of the alliance, Rooted will run the RDF Industry Group Secretariat on behalf of Eunomia.
‘New challenges with old colleagues’
Mike Brown, co-founder of Rooted, said: “I’m really looking forward to new challenges with ‘old’ colleagues whilst maintaining lasting links to Eunomia, the company that’s been our home for nearly two decades. All of us continuing to work together through this alliance allows us to offer a wide range of services across the circular economy and to the waste management industry.
“By combining our strengths, we can drive significant progress towards a more sustainable and circular economy, as well as helping address other challenges such as the decarbonisation of activities and the regeneration of our natural environment.”
Joe Papineschi, chairperson of Eunomia, said: “We are excited to embark on this new journey with Mike, David and Sam. This partnership allows us to leverage our combined expertise and continue providing exceptional support to our clients across the waste hierarchy, with Eunomia able to increase its focus at the top of the hierarchy on recycling, reuse and avoiding waste altogether with work on residual waste management being taken on by Rooted.
“The continuation of the RDF Industry Group under Mike’s leadership is a testament to our commitment to ensure that our clients receive access to the detailed insights and advice they need.”
