London Sustainable Industries Park is in the heart of a major regeneration area and provides us with raw materials for our business

The firm intends to construct the commercial waste treatment plant by 2012 on the London Sustainable Industries Park (SIP), which also houses the Closed Loop London plastics recycling facility.
Subject to planning approval, the gasification plant will be capable of producing 15MW of energy-a-year and is intended to be Cyclamax's flagship facility ahead of six other plants in the pipeline – including a £35 million resource recovery plant in Chesterfield (see letsrecycle.com story).
Tony Watkins, managing director at Cyclamax, said: “We're delighted to be the latest company to join the London Sustainable Industries Park. We have chosen the Park in Dagenham because of its great location and support for occupiers.”
London
The London SIP is being developed by the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation – the government's lead regeneration agency for East London.
Believed to be the only Sustainable Industry Park in a European capital city, it is also set to see the development of the Thames Gateway Institute for Sustainability.
The Institute, which already carries project work in East London, is intended to create a dedicated hub for businesses, academic institutions and research organisations to investigate commercial solutions to environmental issues. The Thames Gateway Development Corporation is hopeful of having the site ready for visitors by summer 2010.
Mr Watkins said: “[Building the plant at Dagenham] also offers us exciting opportunities to develop synergies with the Thames Gateway Institute for Sustainability and other occupiers, to share knowledge and develop real solutions to the UK's clean energy requirements.
“London Sustainable Industries Park is in the heart of a major regeneration area and provides us with raw materials for our business whilst providing a major benefit to the broader community,” he added.
