A new decade and with it new aspirations for the UK’s drive towards a more sustainable approach to waste management will require a range of facilities.
On the heavyweight side in terms of infrastructure, more energy from waste plants are needed to help confirm the drive away from landfill as well as providing alternatives to a pressured continental marketplace.
Alongside the larger projects, there will be a need too for modern MRFs and sorting facilities and plants for specific streams, including plastics.
Add in regional demands, logistics, political input and financing challenges, can the 2020s be the era that the challenges are overcome to deliver the waste and resource infrastructure the UK needs?
The Resource Infrastructure Conference aims to answer some of these questions and give you an opportunity to air your thoughts.
