The UK’s leading event for scrap metal and end-of-life vehicle recyclers this year takes place on 24-25 May at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry in the West Midlands. Register for tickets here.
More than 1,700 attendees are expected to pass through the gates of the co-located shows, which are organised by ROAR B2B, letsrecycle.com’s parent company, in partnership with the British Metals Recycling Association, the British Vehicle Salvage Federation and the Vehicle Recycling Association.
The packed schedule will include live material processing demonstrations, site tours, practical workshops, more than 40 expert talks across the keynote theatre and networking opportunities.
This year will see a greater focus on net zero, issues around waste classification, green parts, lithium-ion batteries and much more.
In tandem with registration opening, the event’s organisers are calling for entries for the first ‘It’s a Knockout!’- style UK Depollution Challenge, which will take place live at the show. The proverbial assault course will pitch teams against each other to test their skills at removing wheels, refuelling, connecting airbags and speed cat cutting. Enter a team of up to four via the ‘what’s on’ tab on the CARS & MRE website here.
CARS & MRE 2023 is sponsored by Scrap Car Comparison and Recycling Lives and has partnered with Skip & Waste Magazine, with ATF Professional and Auto Recycling World as headline media partners.
